Give your unwanted clothes to Oxfam
We all have clothes that we no longer wear, either because they don't fit or because they're no longer in fashion, and every year we send tonnes of unwanted clothing to landfill. Next time you have a wardrobe clearout take your cast offs to Oxfam and let them put it to get use.
The problem
It's estimated that we discard around 1m tonnes of clothing each year in the UK, a lot of which is good enough to be re-sold or recycled.
What you can do
Instead of throwing clothes you don't want any more in the bin, take them to your local Oxfam store.
When you show them the M&S label(s), they'll give you a voucher worth £5 to use the next time you spend £35 or more on clothing, home or beauty products in M&S. The voucher is valid during that calendar month.
By going into Oxfam with your unwanted M&S clothing, not only will you give them a second life, you'll be helping people escape poverty and getting a helpful £5 for yourself. Rewarding stuff.
