Marks & Spencer is working with Oxfam to help achieve a good deal at the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen. You can show your support for a fair and ambitious deal by adding a message to our Patchwork Quilt above. We'll be presenting the final patchwork to Downing Street before the conference commences.
Reaching a comprehensive agreement in Copenhagen for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, between both developed and developing countries, will help to enable a more environmentally, economically, and socially stable future for the planet.
"The world cannot tackle climate change if we leave it to politicians alone... That is why I'm happy to see M&S supporting you, its customers, in taking action - not only to reduce your own carbon footprints but also to give your views on the importance of the UN climate negotiations in Copenhagen.
In doing so, you are joining groups of people from all around the world who are sending out a message to world leaders that they want a deal in Copenhagen. That is important because we will need all the popular pressure we can get to strike a deal that is ambitious, effective and fair."
- Ed Miliband, Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change.
M&S' Plan A initiative is all about doing the right thing. That's why we're working with our suppliers and customers to reduce emissions across all aspects of our business, and also supporting partners such as Oxfam, the Prince's Rainforests Project, and WWF, who are all working to combat climate change.
