Guide to recycling

Beef joint

One of the most important considerations with packaging our fresh meat is maintaining its quality.

When we were looking for a replacement for the plastic punnet that our beef joint used to be packaged in, we knew it had to be something that would keep the meat at its optimum quality. The solution was what’s called a 'skin pack', which cuts down the packaging weight by 69%.

This skin pack has an even greater benefit - on steaks and beef, it keeps the meat fresher for an extra 5 days, which means it's much less likely to go to waste.
