Healthy eating is a major part of healthy living so we've expanded our range of healthier options and introduced a clearer 'traffic light' labelling system on packaging to help our customers make informed food choices. We’ll continue to work with staff and customers to help them choose a healthier lifestyle.
We aim to maintain our position of offering at least 30% healthier food lines.
Having introduced nutritional 'traffic lights' to relevant food products we plan to support the FSA's trial of calorie labels on food products served in cafes and restaurants and extend the use of positive health labels to promote products with beneficial qualities such as omega-3, fibre and 5-a-day.
Removing children’s sweets from till points.
Using only natural colours in our children’s sweets and cakes by the start of 2008.
Making further reductions to the amount of salt in our foods by working to M&S targets, many of which go beyond those set by the FSA.
