M&S is donating all the profits* from our 5p food carrier bag charging scheme to environmental charity Groundwork; to invest in projects that will improve parks, play areas and public gardens in neighbourhoods around the UK.

Upload your photos and be part of the Groundwork community

1. Upload images to your Flickr account
If you don't already have an account, you can create one for free here

2. Visit the Plan A Groundwork Flickr group
Select 'Join This Group'

3. Link your photos to a specific Groundwork project
Type the 'Flickr tag' for the project into the box marked 'Add a tag'. The Flickr tag can be found by clicking on an icon on the map above

4. Send your image to the Groundwork group
Whilst you're viewing your image in the Flickr photostream, select the button labelled 'Send to Group' and select 'Plan A Groundwork'

Repeat steps 3 and 4 for any other images you wish to add to the Groundwork Group.

So far, M&S's carrier bag charging scheme has helped:

  • Raise £1.3m for Groundwork
  • Provide funding for 46 gardens, parks and play areas
  • Reduce food carrier bag usage by 83%, nearly 400 million bags
